Terms of Service

Last updated 12 October 2026

These terms cover this website, itcan.do, and what it offers: the install scripts, the install guide, the downloads it points to, and the place an installed It sends its usage data and asks for updates.

It is made by Aaryan Kapoor. “We” and “us” below mean him, and “you” means whoever uses the website or installs It from it. By using the website or installing It from it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. The software has its own license

It is source-available software. Your right to use, copy and change it comes from the It License, which comes with every copy, and not from these terms. Where the two disagree about the software, the license decides. Parts of It made by others are under their own licenses, listed in the notices that come with it.

The license says who may use It and for what. Read it before you install It, and before you use It at work in particular.

2. It runs on your machines

It is installed on your own computer and runs there. We do not host your pages, and we cannot see, recover or remove them. You are responsible for the computers you install It on, for who can reach them on your network, for keeping your own copies of anything you care about, and for what your agents do with It.

It works with agent apps made by other companies, such as Claude Code and Codex. They are not ours, we do not control them, and your use of them is under their makers’ terms. Naming them here does not mean they endorse It.

3. Using this website

You may use this website to read about It and to install it. You agree not to:

We may limit or block access that does any of these.

4. Usage data and privacy

An installed It sends usage data to this website unless you turn that off. The Privacy Policy says what is sent, what is kept, and how to turn it off.

5. Names and marks

The name It, the wordmark and the designs of this website are ours. The license to the software does not give you a right to use them, except to say truthfully that something is or works with It. The website’s text and pictures may not be copied wholesale without our permission.

6. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions about It, we may use them without owing you anything, and you keep whatever rights you had in them.

7. No warranty

The website, the install scripts and everything offered through them are provided as they are, without any warranty or condition of any kind, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, as far as the law allows. We do not promise that the website will always be available or that an install will always succeed. The license says the same of the software itself.

8. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from these terms or from your use of the website or of anything offered through it, under any kind of legal claim. Our total liability for all such claims will not exceed one hundred US dollars. For the software itself the license decides, and under it we are not liable for any damages. Some places do not allow some of these limits, and there they apply only as far as they are allowed.

9. Changes

We may change the website and what it offers, and we may change these terms. When we change the terms we will update this page and the date at its top. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the terms as changed.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, in the United States, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Any dispute about them will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you and we agree to those courts.

11. The rest

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the website. If a part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part of them at some time, we have not given it up.
